Did you hear about the pilot who always had work?

April 14, 2014 By Bekah

He was great at landing a job.

And by he…I mean my husband.

That’s right.  My husband is no longer a traveller.  As of today, I am no longer a teaching, traveller’s wife.  After eleven wonderful years with Accenture, Steven began a new job with Slalom consulting.  His clients will no longer be in different cities across the country.  After four years of being a “commuter couple,” Steven and I begin our own new journey as a couple who lives in the same city full time.

It is an exciting time in the Carrington household.  Not only did we welcome our newest member, Bennett, but we are excited and anxious to begin this new chapter in our marriage.   What does this mean for this lady? A few things.

I am excited to go to sleep and wake up each morning next to the man I wanted to go to sleep and wake up next to for the rest of my life.

I am thrilled that Bennett will know his daddy and get to spend good quality time with him.

I am nervous about being able to have dinner ready each night…no more cereal nights I suppose.

I am nervous about cleaning up my own lazy habits…(i.e. I have to clean dishes every night!?)

Above all, I am pumped to spend more time with Steven.

Now…I end my post with a few happy baby pictures, because, let’s face it…babies make everything better…even my terrible puns.
