Christmas Wish List

December 4, 2014 By Bekah

The month of December started with a bang. Little guy and I have been following my Atlanta Event Advent Calendar. It has been a lot of fun…knowing exactly what’s in store for us for the day. Yes, I’ve planned out just about everything for the month of December.

Everything that is, except for gifts; gifts for myself, for my husband, and my little bear.

Today, I’ve decided to scour the internet for my personal wish list, and for my little guy’s wish list. I’ve decided to include 5 stocking stuffers, and 5 gifts for under the tree.

Mama's Stocking Stuffer Wishlist

I’ve officially entered into the phase of my life when I’d rather wake up at 5 a.m. to get my run in than push a stroller in the middle of the day. First of all, that sucker is heavy. Second, little B only gives me about thirty minutes for a run…which doesn’t give me enough time for enough miles. Thus enters the Reflective Running vest…sigh.
At least it is in pink.
My socks are laughable. I won’t elaborate here, but these no-show socks are necessary.
This cannot be understated, the Boots No 7 Night Cream is divine. I ran out a few months ago and I miss it. This lightly fragranced night cream is the perfect amount of moisturizer and gives me a much needed pick-me-up any time I apply.
So, the blush is a blunder on my part. I went to the outlet malls where the sales associate told me that Bare Minerals was discontinuing the “Vintage Peach” color. Lesson learned: do not trust sales associates at outlet malls. Bare Escentuals probably wouldn’t discontinue their most popular color. What. a. liar. I purchased a factory shade (promise) and it makes me feel a bit too much like an eighties prom queen. Although I like the idea of wearing a sash and a crown, I certainly don’t like the too-pink color on my cheeks. A necessary replacement for my big mistake.
Every writer needs a good pen. The pilot gel rollers are my favorite. I picked the assorted colors for the purposes of the board, although I much prefer the black, purple, and bright blue hues.
For baby’s stocking:

Little man loves remote controls…this one is definitely going in his stocking.

The Babiators are a necessity for the field trips we are sure to take in the spring. All that playground-ing deserves some eye protection.

Wooden toys will be a staple this season: I want to get him the wooden teething toy (even though many of his teeth are in, he is still in that oral phase) as well as a Melissa and Doug stacker. He has another Melissa and Doug toy that he looooves.

Boy hates shoes…these socks are needed. $15 is a small price to pay for covered/non-shoed feet.

Onto the larger purchases:

Christmas List

So, admittedly, I don’t really want anything too exciting this year.

Here is the sad, sad truth about my new job…it requires little to no dressing up. So, as I’ve mentioned in previous posts, nothing in my wardrobe makes a ton of sense.

I spent the bulk of my clothing budget on work-worthy staples, and now, my husband is lucky if I’ve made it out of my PJs. Sorry, Sparky.

So, I genuinely appreciate good, fashionable running gear. I’ve been eyeing the funnel-neck hoodie for a while now and would really like for this beauty to crawl its way into my closet.

Also, some patterned running tights would make me feel like I’m mixing patterns for a purpose…

Girlfriend has lost a bit of weight from the waist down, so none of my jeans fit me like they used to. Little mama needs a new pair of jeans. These Hudson skinnies will do the every-day trick.

I also need a solid pair of black flats and a white oxford polo.

**By the way, I can promise you that not all of these bad boys will end up under my Christmas tree. These are just wishes.

For baby boy:

So…this one is fun.

I’m sure you’ve seen the Land of Nod Teepee Tents…and I think my mom and I may tackle attempting to make it ourselves. I will certainly let y’all know about how that process plays itself out.

The play tunnel and ball pits would be a perfect playroom addition for the little guy as he’s becoming more and more mobile. I think he’d love this!

Is there anything better than zip-up pajamas? I rest my case.

Little guy needs a good jacket. This Carter’s $15 fleece is perfect for these cool winter months.

Last but not least…he needs this muscle tee for the summertime. Seriously.

What is on your shopping list?

Bennett will LOVE that remote. Caleb had it, and it was a great substitute for our real remotes – which he kept pushing random buttons on, and which my totally un-tech savvy self couldn’t figure out how to fix. And can we talk about that Boots No7 cream? I have it and LOVE it. My jar is coming up on empty now, so I think I might be pointing that out to hubby as a stocking stuffer idea. Thanks for the reminder:) Have you tried any of their day creams? I still use an Oil of Olay lotion for daytime, and am wondering if a Boots switch might be necessary!

I’m glad to hear that! He loves the remote. What are you getting Caleb this year?
